Matty Ride is a Nashville based artist, songwriter and producer.  Although he now calls Nashville home, he grew up in Spokane/Coeur d’Alene; the very stomping grounds and home to Bing Crosby. “Growing up there you revere Bing as somewhat of a local hero.  You hear the stories of his antics, see his name on buildings, theaters and such. It was through Bing’s musical influence, and those who followed in his footsteps, such as Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, that I really began to fall in love with Popular Jazz and the American Songbook.  That was always the music I loved the most,” said Matty.

Matty Ride’s music recaptures the spirit of the American Songbook through his original compositions.   His clever rhymes, tongue and cheek topics, and witty lyrics showcase an urbane sense of style that evokes an era of jazz clubs, variety shows, and musical cinema.

In his own words: “I’m making the type of music your grandparents probably made your parents to.”

Yeah, thanks a lot Matty.  We’re gonna go throw up now.  On that note, check out his timeless music!
